For some people, confidence comes naturally; however, for many people it takes a bit of work. We’ve created a checklist of things you can do every day to help build confidence in dating and everyday life.

A good night’s rest.

Getting a good night’s rest is very important, not only for your physical health, but for your mental health as well. According to a study conducted by doctors discovered that when you get a good night sleep that hasn’t been interrupted, you have more energy, which means more confidence. Also, after a good night sleep, you’ll be able to wake up earlier and feel invigorated!

Building your confidence with your morning routine.

Now that you’ve gotten a good night sleep and waking up an hour earlier, what do you do with that time? This time should be dedicated to building your confidence and how you do that will vary from person to person. Here is just a basic outline that you can alter to suit your lifestyle.

1. Exercise – What better way to increase your confidence then working out? When you work out in the morning, you are going to lose weight and burn fat better than if you work out during the day. Plus you’re boosting your energy for the day and you won’t have to worry about going to the gym later in the day!

2. Eat a good breakfast – You can choose to eat breakfast or not, but it is recommended you do because it is a good way to boost your energy. You don’t want to eat anything that comes from a box, a microwave, or comes from a fast food restaurant. If you are going to eat breakfast, choose something fresh and wholesome.

3. Take your time getting ready – Use this time to shower, shave, choose a nice outfit… All in all, you want to look your best. When you’re looking your best, you’ll feel confident and people will definitely take notice.

4. Mediate or read – Even if you only have a few minutes, when you take the time to do something relaxing like meditation or even reading the newspaper or a book, you are starting your day one a peaceful note.

Affirmations to tell yourself throughout the day.

Affirmations aren’t just meant to be said to yourself in the morning. Daily affirmations can help keep you on track and keep you focused on what it is that you are hoping for. How do you create an affirmation that will help you stay focused?

Identify the problem: What is preventing you from getting what you want?

  • Specify your goal in simple terms: What exactly do you want?
  • Ask yourself a question: Why do you want it?
  • Answer the question: “Because I…”
  • Say it to yourself: Tell yourself the answer to your question.

Confidence can be conveyed to others through, so it is important that you are aware of how you carry yourself. Maintain good posture by sitting straight and walking with your shoulders back and head held high. Also, make sure that you smile when you greet people. If you’re walking down the street, you may not want to have a big grin on your face, but it doesn’t hurt to have a slight grin.
