13 Places in Pittsburgh to Meet Flirty Singles!

places in pittsburgh to meet singles

In Pennsylvania, you either have Philadelphia or you have Pittsburgh, depending on which side of the state you’re on. If you are on the western side of the state, you’re going to want to head out to Pittsburgh – especially if you want to go out, have a good time, and try to meet people.

We asked singles from the Pittsburgh area where were some of their favorite places to visit in the city, and here are the top 13 responses. Keep reading to see if any of your favorite places made it to this list!

1. Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle Irish Pub

Mullaney’s Harp & Fiddle Irish Pub is where you want to go when you want to enjoy a few beers and get the sense of what a real Irish Pub is like. For over 15 years, people have come here to feel like they belong. The atmosphere is welcoming and friendly, inviting and relaxed. If you’re looking to meet someone who isn’t putting on airs and they are being themselves, this is a great place to go.

Sometimes you need a good burger to sink your teeth into, right? The Tipsy Cow Burger Bar is one of the best places in Pittsburgh to grab that burger, but also have a drink, too. Whether you’re a Kettle One fan or if you like a good sangria, the Tipsy Cow has you covered. You can also build your own breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Just think how awesome it would be finding someone who has the same breakfast order? Could it be love at first bite? Maybe!

3. Sienna Mercato

When you’re craving an Italian dish and you’re in Pittsburgh’s Cultural District, the Sienna Mercato is a place you have to try. The best part is, there are three distinct dining options under the same roof, so if you’re in the mood for pizza, you can check out Mezzo. Emporio is a spot where you can enjoy a few good meatballs (and other fare) and have a drink. Il Tetto is the rooftop beer garden where you’ll be able to get a unique view of the city, have a few drinks, and socialize with the locals.

The staff is friendly and knowledgable about the food and drinks, but the patrons are just as welcoming. You would be hard pressed not to meet someone new and interesting while sipping on a great cocktail.

Sometimes when you go out, you want more than just food and drink. Sure, there isn’t anything wrong with getting some food and something to drink (which Rum Runners certainly has a nice selection of), but when you want a spot that has more to offer, you need to come here. The atmosphere at Rum Runner’s Saloon will put you in a great mood to dance to the music (compliments to the Live Entertainment or DJ on the weekends), but you can also watch the game (any game!) on the multitude of flat screen televisions. If you’re looking for a good time, this is it!

Spork isn’t a place where you can go to get a huge steak – it’s menu consists of small plates options. The food is always changing, but you can trust that the ingredients are always fresh and are from local farmers and purveyors in Western PA. Spork is a wonderful place to go when you want to have a low key date and just get to know one another without the awkwardness of a large meal. You can also wash down your snacks with a cocktail, beer, or wine. If you are still feeling a little hungry, don’t forget dessert!

9. Dive Bar and Grille

Whether you’re in Lawrenceville or South Side, Dive Bar and Grille is a casual bar where you can go and enjoy great people, delicious food, and pretty good drinks. Most of the people who mentioned this place in our survey said that the absolute best reason to come here is the desserts, which is unexpected considering the name of the venue. With that aside, the staff is extremely attentive and knowledgeable and are always interested in making your experience worthwhile. When you want a low-key date that is still going to impress, Dive Bar and Grille is a pretty good option!

11. Industry Public House

Industry Public House is what you get when you want American style comfort food, artisanal cocktails and even craft beer. What really makes this place a local favorite is that the venue has a vintage inspired theme and when you walk through the doors, it’s almost like you’ve been transported back in time in to prohibition style speakeasy but it has modern accents. You may have been to other gastro pubs in the past, but Industry Public House takes it to the next level. They create unique drinks that will have you ditching the whiskey sours and martinis behind!

12. Club Cafe

Club Cafe is a place where you can attend a concert put on by local artists who are making a name for themselves in Pittsburgh’s music scene, but also from all over the world. The intimate venue is a great place to bring a date, especially if they enjoy music that isn’t what you’d hear on the radio. You can also dine and drink while enjoying the music. The food menu isn’t large, but that doesn’t mean it’s lacking in flavor and quality. There are a decent amount of cocktails and draft beers that you could choose from, but if you ask us, the Tiki Harvest cocktail is divine!

Muddy Waters is your answer for seafood, sandwiches, and large meals.
