How can I send a message?

You can start a chat with a user in several ways:

  1. Press the message bubble in the top right corner and go to your Messenger. Choose a user from the left section. Enter your message in the appropriate field. Press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard to send your text or press the ‘Send’ button.
  2. Press ‘Chat’ below the member’s photo on the Search page. You will open a Messenger in the bottom left corner of the page. Enter your message in the appropriate field. Press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard to send your text or press the ‘Send’ button.
  3. Open the full profile of a member and press the ‘Chat’ button. You will open a Messenger in the bottom left corner of the page. Enter your message in the appropriate field. Press ‘Enter’ on your keyboard to send your text or press the ‘Send’ button.

Where can I see new incoming messages?

Press the message bubble in the top right corner and go to your Messenger. Select 'All' to view all incoming messages. If you want to view unread texts only, press the ‘Unread’ option. You will see all your unread messages. Each dialogue will have a number next to the member’s name. This number shows the amount of unread messages from the member. Press the dialogue with a user whose messages you would like to read. Please note that Free Members have 24 hours to open the unread message before it expires. All read messages are stored in message history.

How many messages can I send?

As a Free Member you can send 5 messages a day to different users. You are allowed to send no more than 1 message to each member.

How can I know that my message was read?

Go to a Messenger and open the dialogue with a member. If your message is indicated with a double green tick, it means that your message has been read. Please notice that to get a message read receipt you need to get the Chataholic Pack or Premium Dater feature.

What types of messages do I get?

You receive different types of messages on the site. To find out which type of message you got, press the three vertical dots in the dialogue space and press 'Types of Messages.'
